|White Cydia Icon|
White Cydia icons indicates the jailbreak process is not executed correctly, there might be human error or most of the times, technical error due to disconnected internet connection and stuff, leaving the Cydia.app not functioning.
Here's how to fix it:
1. Download redsn0w 0.9.8b3(required for jailbreaking iOS 4.3.4)
- redsn0w for Windows
- redsn0w for Mac
Once redsn0w starts, simply just navigate to the folder of the firmware you used for the jailbreaking process.
C:/Documents and Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
C:/Users/(sometimes you have to select User once more)AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
Mac OS X
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
Then redsn0w will try to identify and process the ipsw selected and then click to proceed.
2. Next is the jailbreaking options, there are several options for you to choose.
Uncheck Install Cydia and check Boot Tethered Now, leave the others unchecked as you can install them through Cydia later.
3. The next step is put you iDevice into DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode
Make sure that the device is switched off and plugged in.
Guide to put iDevice into DFU mode is provided in redsn0w
4. Let redsn0w do its job and finally when the re-jailbreaking process is done, your device should respring or reboot and you sould notice that the Cydia icon previously in white, now is in that brown colour and working.
