Microsoft is trying to keep up with the gadget hype as it boasts the sleek, colourful and fresh version of the Windows OS.
Windows 8 is currently at the Release Preview version, and is highly anticipated by most PC-users (including me). At Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), Windows Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller proudly presented that by October the new
Windows 8 OS will be rolling out to excited customers.Tami also mentioned that the sleek Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages across 231 markets worldwide. She also confirmed that the new OS is on the way to Release To Manufacturing (RTM) first week of August, and that the platform will soon switch to a commerce platform so that Windows 8 app developers can start to earn by developing apps. For now currently in the Release Preview, apps are still free.
Existing Windows 7 users, amounting to more than 600 million users, will have the chance to upgrade to the latest Windows OS for $40, and those buying laptops or PCs starting from today to January 2013 will have the chance to upgrade it for a cheaper $15.
